The passion of our work will be judged on the palate.

It was in late 2004 that we decided to embark upon the adventure of creating a new brand, of processing and of packaging our own rice. We were convinced it was possible to produce quality rice, farmed with care and respect for the surrounding environment. It has not been easy. In the Empordà region we have a special climate, particularly in the autumn, which is the time for harvesting and drying the rice.

Out in the paddies we often have more work than other producers. Controlling pests and keeping the paddies free of weeds are challenges that make us watchful of our rice paddies throughout the cycle. And the work does not end there. Once harvested, drying it on the threshing floor is a laborious, complex and risky task, yet we do so naturally in order to conserve all the qualities and virtues acquired during its growth.

People are often suspicious about how the rice is produced or farmed, where it comes from or the truthfulness of the claims on the label. We invite you to visit us and see for yourself our very special way of working.
